RIP Mimi

Mimi passed away while I was in Indonesia :( Somehow, she ran out of her other fosterer's home during a thunderstorm and was hit by a car. I'm so sorry Mimi. This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gone out of town. You would have still been with me.

When I first heard the news, I was devastated. I cried big time and I was wracked with guilt. But now, I think maybe its for the best. I don't know. Mimi was so depressed after being abandoned twice. She barely moved. She didn't enjoy things anymore. She was not coping well with her blindness. The thought of her being so terrified during a thunderstorm that she was driven to run outside blindly in the rain is just horrific. I can't imagine her terror. But like my friend AC said, Mimi never saw it coming. It was all over in a flash.

Mimi I hope you are in a better place now. Free from fear, depression, sadness, and pain. Run freely without a care in the world little girl. I'm sorry that all the humans in your life failed you. We didn't deserve you sweet angel.

I'm so sorry to read the Mimi has passed away. I can't help but think of how lucky she was to have spent the time that she did with you. So many others wouldn't have even tried to pull her out of her own little world. You cooked home made meals for her! You showed her that not all humans are bad! Your compassion and kindness is something I am sure blind or not she felt! May she be at peace running around LOOKING at everything and spending time with other furry and human friends who had passed before us. Thoughts are with you! (haven't commented in a while but am thrilled that you are back to fostering and helping those who need it so much!) - Mutt

Oh poor little angel baby. We were so sad when we heard about Mimi's passing. We were really hoping she would have a happily ever after. But perhaps fate had other plans for her that allowed her to let go of all the worldy things that seemed to hinder her so much here on earth. Rest in peace precious girl. Run free and say hello to Lewis for us.He'll take good care of you.Promise. He loved puppies.Espcially sweet and gentle puppies like you .

Thanks for the support all of you. I really hope there's a doggy afterlife and Mimi is having the best time up there.

Hugs.
